The Thing About My Age

Ok, so I haven't told anyone about my age yet. The thing is, I'm pretty young compared to all my followers and the writers of the blogs that I read. Most of you must be 4-5 years older than me (some even older). There is no need to tell you what my age is. Before I was actually trying to hide it in fear that no one would take me seriously. When you figure out my age some of you will probably skip over my posts when they see them in their dashboard or not take me seriously. But, I'm not going to hide my age. I'm proud of being a poet, a blogger, a musician, a discovery girl, a reader, etc....... And, there is no reason to be ashamed of my age. Anyway, I'm ten. Now, maybe you are surprised that you have been reading a ten year old's blog or maybe you don't care. But whether you care or not does not affect me. I'm proud of the things I've done in my short lifetime and I will not be ashamed to say my age.  I will not be ashamed about anything about myself. You see, I've learned a lesson, Don't be ashamed about anything about yourself, love and savor it, sprinkle down your magic.  See you later. Bye.

  1. You've done an awesome job, Jollygirl! I don't think your age is anything to be ashamed of, as you said at the end there. Honestly, sometimes I wish I'd started my blog earlier, just 'cause it's cool to be able to read back at old posts - It's weird how different they are! haha Anyways, this is cool and great goin'! :)

  2. Oh, Jollygirl! Our fellow bloggers are true kindred spirits, and I'm positive they will now shun you because you started blogging at a younger age than them. And hey! If I'm not mistaken, Morning started her blog only a year or two older that you. You are a FANTASTIC blogger, and you know what? So am I! I'm only eleven, turning twelve very soon, but we are just as good as bloggers who started at the same time as us but instead of being ten or eleven when they started, they started at 14 or 15. We might not be as experienced as some others, but we rock!

    1. Thank you so much! I love your writing. I'm sure that you wrote well at ten too, even though here, you claim that you didn't.

  4. Jollygirl, you are a lovely, brilliant writer. Age should mean nothing for writing, blogging, dancing, singing or whatever. You are a talent lady and you should show that. I will read your blog, not because of your age because of you. You are brilliant. I'm older than you and I'm so bad with grammar that I look up to you ( and my brothers too)
    Keep blogging:)

  7. You certainly surprised me. I haven't seen many of your posts or anything so I hadn't really tried guessing your age. But ten is impressive (:

  10. Wow, I honestly thought you were my age. I'm fourteen now, but I was eight when I started blogging. Just goes to show that age is meaningless. :P I know ten-year-olds who are much more mature and sophisticated than people five or six years older than me. My brother's eleven, and he can draw much better than I can. I was thirteen when I got my first book published. It doesn't matter how old you are as long as you don't put yourself down because of it. Way to go for being proud of what you've done!

  14. Gosh, I can't believe I missed this post! Look, I started blogging (I'm guessing you are about ten) when I was two years older than you are now, and you've accomplished so much. Yeah, people might judge you, but their comments don't define you. What you make in this world and how you handle situations, that's what defines you. You're going to do great things in your life, don't worry. You'll see XD

    xoxo Morning

  15. I was reading some of your blog posts and I never even realized your age! I figured you were a lot older because your writing is so amazing! You have so much talent. I wish I could have written like you when I was ten, let alone twelve or thirteen. This is such a nice blog and I hope I get to see more amazing things! :)
